DESCRIPTION
As the golden ratio of m!ka Mic Arms, the M-sized m!ka Microphone Arm is the perfect allrounder in terms of microphone arrangements. The mic boom is a good choice to shape working desks or interviewing areas where the distance between microphone arm and speaker is not higher than 31” (78.7cm).

With the m!ka Mic Arm, there are only a few knurled screws to achieve a secure fit and professional balancing of your microphone according to its weight. Each m!ka Mic Arm allows you to customize your mic’s position within seconds. Take full advantage of the given variety of mounting options to tailor your mic setup to your individual needs.

OPTION On Air : The optional OnAir indicator provides you with a dual-color (red/white) 360° OnAir light right above your mic to signalize multiple statuses such as OnAir or MicReady. Just reverse the polarity of the drive voltage and toggle between red and white. You can choose one of Yellowtec's OnAir Controllers hush or hush+ (with mic preamp) to control your OnAir signal in various modes.

Zufrieden mit kleinen Einschränkungen

Grundsätzlich hat das Produkt so gut wie alle Erwartungen erfüllt. Zwei Dinge stören mich aber: Das verlegte Kabel kann nicht „verschoben“ werden. Ich habe ein Shure SM7B, sprich ich benötige auf der Mikrofon-Seite nur wenige Zentimeter, auf der anderen Seite hingegen ein paar Zentimeter mehr. Hier hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass es eine Möglichkeit gibt das Kabel irgendwie zu verschieben. Und: Ich finde es schade, dass die Yellowtec Spacer nicht mit dabei sind. Wenn ich mir einen Arm alleine kaufe, muss ich entweder 10 Spacer separat oder das noch teurere m!ka System Pole Desktop Mounting Kit kaufen, von dem ich alle anderen Artikel gar nicht benötige.

Hallo Max, zuerst einmal vielen Dank für dein ausführliches und konstruktives Feedback. Wie du ganz richtig sagst, ermöglicht unser Mikrofonarm keine flexible 'Aufteilung' der vorhandenen Kabellänge auf das obere und untere Teilstück. Der Grund dafür ist das innenliegende, komplexe System, das die Ausbalancierung des Arms mit deinem individuellen Mikrofongewicht ermöglicht - und das in jeder Position, in die du den Arm ziehst. Solltest du weitere Mikrofonarme benötigen, komm gern vorher auf uns zu. Wir können dann die Kabellängen oben und unten am Arm individuell auf deinen Gebrauch, bzw. dein Mikrofon hin anpassen – gerade jetzt, wo du einen Arm bei dir hast, um deine Wunschlänge des Kabels zu bestimmen. Mein Kollege Ralf Werner wird sich per E-Mail bei dir melden, umweiter auf deine Anregungen einzugehen, auch was den Yellow Spacer angeht. Weiterhin viel Spaß und Erfolg mit deinem m!ka Arm! :)

XLR Surprise

The unit works wonderfully. It's also very eye appealing. It's also very expensive. When you add on the surcharge, the shipping fee, and the international transaction fee. It really adds up. This causes me to wonder if you ever have sales, because I would need one of those to consider ordering again. The XLR surprise was the 5 pin XLR connector on one end. I spent 40 years in broadcasting and never had a mic connector cord delivered with a 5 pin XLR. I saw that it was mentioned in the product description but I didn't see that when ordering. I got a 5 to 3 pin converter to make my mic work with the unit. Great product; great expense.

Für ein U87 besser als der XL

Ich hatte mir zuerst den XL gekauft in der Annahme, dass er ein Neumann U87 samt Spinne und Pop-Schutz auf Höhe hält, was leider nicht der Fall war, vor Allem nicht im Laufe der Zeit. Jetzt dachte ich, dass ich den mittelgroßen Arm nehme, da weniger Hebelwirkung. Bis jetzt hält es, auch wenn man ganz schön festdrehen muss. Die Feststellschrauben könnten etwas großflächiger und somit haptischer sein. Warum ich noch einmal so viel Geld ausgegeben habe, nachdem mich der erste Arm enttäuscht hat? Das Befestigungssystem: Yellowtec ist meines Wissens der einzige Hersteller, der eine Lösung anbietet, wenn man keine Klemme anbringen kann und trotzdem kein Loch in den Tisch bohren will. Ich habe die Wandhalterung seitlich an den Tisch geschraubt und jetzt den Arm einfach ausgetauscht. Der Lange liegt jetzt auf Halde in der Hoffnung, dass er irgendwann für ein leichteres Mikro Verwendung findet. Kein billiger Spaß, aber hoffentlich jetzt final gelöst.

Best solution i have ever tested

This Arm as well as the Wall Bracket are perfect. No need to drill inside my desk, and the microphone connected to it (Shure SM7B) is not causing any trouble to the arm weight capacity, so i can have the arm fully extended. Cool product
